Enforcement Training with MDTCA- Sep 2018

DSAM co-sponsored a three-day workshop for senior officers of the Enforcement Division, Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (MDTCA) in Port Dickson recently. The workshop was attended by senior enforcement officers from all the states in the country. During the workshop, DSAM briefed the officers on what is Direct Selling, from a local and global perspective. The workshop then continued with a general introduction to the Marketing Plans and how to identify irregularities. For practical application, two Direct Selling companies were invited to present their current Marketing Plans.

MDTCA’s Direct Selling Unit led by Zulkifli Yaacob was present on the third day to highlight salient points of the Direct Sales and Anti-Pyramid Schemes Act 1993 plus the conditions of the Direct Selling License.

Throughout the workshop, the senior officers had the opportunity to raise questions pertaining to the topics presented. There were many positive feedbacks including the relevance in carrying out their duties effectively.

Deputy Director of Enforcement MDTCA Datuk Iskandar Halim Sulaiman handed out Certificate of Participation to the senior officers before closing the workshop.
