The Story of NHF
When it was about time to make her decision to further her tertiary studies, Dr. Jessie Chung, ND, MD decided to end her youngest sister’s agony from 10 years’ bout of epilepsy. She flew to the U.S. and chose to study Natural Medicine, Nutrition and Oriental Medicine. During her stint in the U.S., she had the chance to learn from world renowned experts like Dr. Bernard Jensen, Dr. Ken Young, and Dr. David Choo.

In November 28, 1997, she heard a gentle yet familiar voice, “You are to embark on another chapter of your life, fulfilling a greater calling – that is to start a health supplement company and expand it nationwide, opening health seminars throughout the country, whilst dispensing love and good health to others”. It was a challenging mission; with so much to plan alone: finances, manpower, locations, marketing, etc. Nevertheless, clinging gallantly to her novel mission, she ceased the operation of her naturopathic clinics and recruited a new team for her new endeavor. With the help of a close friend, she devised a marketing plan which she proposed to her father, raising the initial capital. Finally, in 1999, she founded Natural Health Farm (NHF).

NHF started off as a MLM (multi-level marketing) company and quickly grew to over 50,000 distributors/members within two years. In 2003, the company was enjoying brisk business when Dr. Jessie Chung, ND, MD dropped a bombshell. She wanted to change the MLM business model into retail. The reason was to improve product visibility on shelves and reduce prices to make them more affordable. To stand out in the competitive market, she started training a group of nutritional consultants and assigned them to retail outlets to provide professional, nutritional consultation and advice to the customers. The brand went through ups and downs and we are grateful that we managed to build a solid foundation. To date, we operate 100 retail & franchise outlets in Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, USA, Singapore, Thailand, and Brunei, sharing the same vision and mission: to help others live healthily and blissfully. Besides retailing, NHF has also branched into nutritional education, manufacturing, and organic farming.

Over the course of 20 years, NHF has passionately pursued the creation of products and resources that support the health and longevity of the human body, skin and hair, helping tens of thousands find their paths to a beautiful life.
